Sept haïkaï ("Seven haikus"), solo piano and orchestra (1962)

日本旅行の印象が後に「7つの俳諧」（1962年）というアンサンブルのための作品にまとめられている。笙や篳篥がメシアンの語法を用いて巧妙に模倣されている。7つの曲から成り、それぞれの次のようなタイトルがつけられている。
1. 導入部 (Introduction)
2. 奈良公園と石灯籠 (Le parc de Nara et les lanternes de pierre)⋯⋯
