Models get prepped for a fashion show at the University of Tokyo's Koishikawa Annex of the University Museum. Organized by students at the Museum Technology Seminar and fab, an extracurricular fashion collective, the weekend event was conceived as an experiment combining ``mode and science." The show was attended by fashion designers Issey Miyake and Naoki Takizawa. ``Right now, fashion is all about markets and trends," said Takizawa, who advised the students. ``What makes these works noteworthy is that they come from different fields. You can see the influence of architecture and French literature strongly in their designs."(IHT/Asahi: March 2,2009)
