江戸時代後期における武家女性用の夏の単衣。鮮やかな流水模様は、江戸時代後期に輸入され錦絵や染織に利用されたプルシアン・ブルー、いわゆる「ベロ藍」が用いられている。後ろ身頃には笠に杖の模様で能「弱法師」、砧で能「砧」を表わしている。

A colorful bright blue robe decorated ornately with flowers of all four seasons as well as colorful calligraphy of the poem at the top of the post, which appears across the back and sleeves.
